Five People Injured In A Roll-Over Accident

The Denver Post reports that five people were injured in a roll-over accident on Colo.93 south of Boulder. The accident occurred at 3:26 p.m. south of the where the highway intersects with Colo. 170. A Lafayette man was driving north on the roadway in his 1997 silver Honda CR-V when the car drifted off the side of the road. The man then pulled the vehicle back onto the roadway, causing it to cross the center line into oncoming traffic where it was struck on the passenger side by a southbound 2011 Toyota Sienna.

The Sienna was being driven by a woman from Missouri and was carrying three child passengers. The woman, a 10-year-old girl and a 5-year-old boy suffered minor injuries in the accident, while a 14-year-old boy suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries. All four were taken to Exempla Good Samaritan Medical Center in Lafayette and are expected to recover.
