The Denver Post reports that their will be more fireworks shows than last year for the 4th of July holiday. Although there have been wild fires and the weather has been dry, a number of cities across Colorado plan to hold their annual fireworks shows as scheduled. In Denver, there will be several fireworks show: Civic Center Park, Elitch Gardens, Sports Authority Field, and Coors Field will hold fireworks displays. In addition, several other municipalities, including Arvada, Aurora, Boulder, and Fort Collins will hold their displays. Still, there have been a number of fireworks shows canceled in cities including Colorado Springs, Golden, and Castle Rock. Check with your city to see whether there will be a fireworks show, and whether you are allowed to light fireworks on your own.
